NASA scientists have confirmed the recent discovery by British astronomers that a Near Earth Orbit (NEO) asteroid likely will strike our planet, resulting in a population ending event.  It's unlikely that humans will be able to survive the subsequent environmental upset as billions of pounds of ash and debris are forced into the atmosphere by the explosion that will take place when the inert rock hits.

It's estimated that all life within a thousand miles of the impact zone will be destroyed instantly.  But don't worry, the local race track promoters have ensured the tire barn will be open until that time.  Racers are reminded their tires are subject to the impound rule prior to the feature event.
